El Sr. y la Sra. Johnson eran muy ricos pero infelices. Durante diez años intentaron tener un hijo pero fracasaron. Entonces, milagrosamente, a los 45 años, la esposa quedó embarazada. Estaban llenos de alegría.

Pero la pareja estaba muy ocupada. El esposo siempre viajaba. Su esposa tenía muchas reuniones de negocios. Así que emplearon a una anciana, Doña Ruth, para cuidar al bebé.

Doña Ruth tenía un pasado doloroso. Hace muchos años, su único hijo murió justo después de nacer. Desde entonces, odiaba a los niños. No quería el trabajo, pero necesitaba el dinero.

Cada vez que Doña Ruth bañaba al bebé, el bebé lloraba fuerte. La foto lo muestra claramente. Sus manos eran toscas y enojadas. Frotaba al niño con fuerza, sin amor.

Pronto el bebé se enfermó y quedó delgado. Los padres estaban preocupados. Llevaron al bebé al hospital. El doctor revisó al bebé y vio moretones y dijo: "Esto no es una enfermedad. Alguien está lastimando a este niño. Pongan una cámara escondida en el baño."

Lo hicieron. Esa noche vieron el video y descubrieron el secreto que la mujer escondía. Estaba lastimando a su precioso milagro. Y fue entonces cuando todo cambió.

La pareja llamó a la policía. La mujer se la llevaron. Aprendieron una gran lección. El dinero no puede criar a un niño. El amor y el tiempo sí pueden. Desde ese día, la madre se quedó en casa para cuidar a su bebé ella misma.

The Maid's Secret

Mr and Mrs Johnson were very rich but unhappy. For ten years they tried to have a child but failed. Then miraculously, at age 45, the wife got pregnant. They were full of joy.

But the couple was too busy. The husband traveled always. His wife had many business meetings. So they employed an old maid, Mrs. Ruth, to care for the baby.

Mrs. Ruth had a painful past. Many years ago, her only child died just after birth. Since then, she hated children. She did not want the job, but she needed the money.

Every time Mrs. Ruth bathed the baby, the baby cried loudly. The picture shows it clearly. Her hands were rough and angry. She scrubbed the child hard, not with love.

Soon the baby became sick and thin. The parents were worried. They took the baby to the hospital. The doctor checked the baby and saw bruises and said, "This is not sickness. Someone is hurting this child. Put a hidden camera in the bathroom."

They did. That night they watched the video and saw the secret the woman was hiding. She was hurting their precious miracle. And that was when everything changed.

The couple called the police. The woman was taken away. They learned a big lesson. Money cannot raise a child. Love and time can. From that day, the mother stayed home to care for her baby herself.
