Thanks for reading another episode of Cursed October. I hope you had a great time reading it.
I couldn’t post some of the behind-the-scenes work of creating these comics. This is because of some business I had to attend to for school. I’m going to be very busy, and right now I’m trying to say a few words below as quickly and briefly as possible so I have time to wrap up some other school business.
To create a comic:
There are many guides out there on how to create a comic. Some offer basic training, such as drawing body construction and other fundamentals, but creating a comic doesn’t have to start with perfection. It starts with your current level of art and your ability to tell a story, even if it looks rough at first. You improve by actively or passively training in your art, whether separately or on the job.

Not bad at all – I’ve had a good look at your comic and I think a few pages would work really well without any text at all, perhaps just by adding a question mark or an exclamation mark. I can actually spot a few nice Inktober prompts here too, such as the apple, ‘smack’ (knocking an apple off the tree or eating it), ‘mystical’ (who’s talking – the tree, the apple, or…?), and perhaps the stick you found is a sign of ‘rescue' and the start (flat on his face) we can call 'lounge'.

Though I didn’t pick “mystical” when I was going through the prompts, the world he’s in is mystical, and the tree is actually a curse inspired by Sleeping Beauty. “Rescue,” huh? Perhaps a fake one 😂 (see next chapter).
The blue voice is actually his brother in ghost form. (This should be in another episode, but I’ll just spell it out: Henry doesn’t know his brother exists till he needs his help. So his brother is like a ghost in his mind — a helpful ghost who will become his nightmare (see next episode).)
Should've said this first, I also thought that some pages didn't need words but in the end I just added them😫. I plan to leave it that way.
