I hope you are all doing well. As part of the regular travel and location reviews on the steem-atlas platform, I am here today with a unique review. Recently, I visited the traditional Fakir Market in Tongi, one of the busiest areas in the Gazipur district. The main objective of this post is to share my observations regarding the environment, trading system, and overall atmosphere of the market's chicken section.
Tongi Fakir Market is a highly popular shopping destination for local residents. Every day, thousands of people visit the market to purchase their daily necessities. The market is particularly renowned for its fresh chicken and meat. Upon entering, one is greeted by a vibrant and bustling atmosphere; rows of neatly arranged cages, the calls of vendors, and the sight of customers bargaining bring the market to life.

The main attraction of today's visit was the presence of healthy and fresh chickens of various breeds kept in cages. Here, mainly broiler layer cocks and golden breed chickens are widely seen for sale. The sellers have neatly arranged the chickens in different cages according to their breeds. White broilers and reddish or golden colored cock chickens were seen in several small and large cages. Drinking water and food have been well arranged inside each cage so that the chickens remain fresh.

During my visit to the market, I talked to the vendors and tried to find out about their daily business. They said that every morning, fresh chickens are brought directly to this market from different farms. Buyers can come and choose the fresh chicken of their choice. After choosing, there is also a facility to measure, cut and clean it immediately. Because of this fast service and fresh products, people of the area regularly come here to shop.

However, despite the positive aspects, there is room for improvement in the cleanliness of the market. Due to overcrowding and fast work, some dirt is seen accumulating around the cages. Although the vendors try to clean the places at regular intervals, if the overall environment could be kept a little more hygienic and clean, the shopping experience would have been more comfortable for the buyers.
In conclusion, it can be said that these chicken shops in Tongi Fakir Bazaar are playing a very important role in meeting the daily protein needs of the local residents. The place is truly commendable due to its fair prices, fresh products and fast service. I am very happy to share this real experience with my friends in the Steam-Atlas community.
