The Diary Game: Attending My Godmother's Daughter Traditional Marriage Ceremony [03/08/2026]

Good day, guys and welcome to another episode of my diary session with yours truly and in today's episode I want to briefly share with everyone how my day and I hope this makes your day even more beautiful. Let's get to it with much Ado.

When I woke up today, I had to take my bath so I could dress up and go to my Godmother's daughter Traditional marriage. She actually came in from the United Kingdom and that was where she met her husband. I went there with my twin brother, when I got there, I was so surprised that my dad was already there. We had to take this picture.

Now, let me tell you something about my dad. He is one person that doesn't go out like that because he is a businessman and he is so obsessed with his business. This particular marriage meant so much to him, that's why you could see him outside. I like such because you could literally know one that hat is serious with the way he handles his business.

I took this personal pictures of myself because the sun was shining. Unlike the rain we have experienced since the year started. After that, I walked into the venue so I could go and have my seat because I saw the Master of Ceremony coming and that only meant that the event was about to start.

The normal formalities were done and prayers were given for easy going event and then things began to take shape. I was already seated with my friend who also came for the event. I kind of missed so many people back in my village and I so wish that at least, I could see them, today I did and it was something beautiful.

Refreshments were brought, that's the tradition here. The bride's family are the ones responsible of taking care of every guests in the traditional marriage occasion. It's somewhat something to be proud of and you can only know a peaceful home with the kind of food they serve during such an event.

After the refreshments, the bride's parents were brought out. And you could see my Godmother smiling all through. You could see how proud she is and somehow, that's the dream of every parent– to see their children grow into the kind of persons they have always wished for them. It was really a a proud moment.

When the bride's parents were escorted back to their seats, the groom was invited but I was busy serving people their drinks that I couldn't take a picture of the groom. After the groom was brought out, he was tested, he was asked to twist his waist so we will be sure he will be able to perform well on bed. This is the funny test given to groom to be sure they will deliver well on bed.

After then, the bride was brought out with the company of multitude of people. We danced so much and we kind of enjoyed ourselves. I am really proud of this lady that just got married and all I am saying that God should bless their union and keep them safe. After the bride was taken to the parents for prayers and blessings, I stood up and went outside to stay because it was really hot.

I had to leave the venue early with my brother, we used bike to come back to Itam where we will see bus or Keke that will be going our way. After such a long distance journey, I came back home to come and rest. But did I even rest? I guess that's where the problem is because– honestly, I didn't even rest.

I came back and just when I was trying to eat, it was time for class so I dropped the food and had to attend to my students so they won't be lost. After I finished the class with them, I came back to my food and then I ate. It was really a stressful yet fun day and I loved it.
