🧪 Internet Money Lab #001: Can I Make $20 Online in 7 Days With $0?
The internet is full of people telling us how easy it is to make money online.
“Start a side hustle.”
“Sell a service.”
“Make your first $100 this week.”
It always sounds simple when someone else explains it.
But how easy is it actually?
I decided I don’t want to just talk about ways to make money online anymore.
I want to test them.
So today I’m starting something new:
🧪 The Internet Money Lab
The idea is simple.
I’ll pick a money-making method, test it using real time and real effort, document everything that happens and share the results here on Steemit.
Successes.
Failures.
Ignored messages.
Bad ideas.
Unexpected wins.
Everything.
No fake income screenshots and no pretending something worked when it didn’t.
Experiment #001
My first challenge is:
Can I make $20 online in 7 days without spending a single dollar?
Here are the rules:
Starting budget: $0
Target: $20
Time limit: 7 days
No paid advertisements
No existing clients
No asking friends or family to buy
Steemit rewards will NOT count toward the $20
Every dollar earned must come directly from the experiment
If I make $20, you’ll see how.
If I make $0, you’ll see that too.
💡 What Am I Going to Sell?
For this experiment, I’m going to use something I already understand: SEO and websites.
But instead of trying to sell a complicated or expensive SEO package, I’m keeping things extremely simple.
I’m creating a:
$10 Website Opportunity Report
I’ll find small businesses whose websites have obvious opportunities and offer them a short report showing things like:
SEO problems I noticed
missed keyword opportunities
quick improvements they could make
competitor observations
areas where their website could potentially perform better
The goal?
Find two complete strangers willing to pay $10 each.
Two customers.
$20.
Challenge completed.
Sounds easy.
I’m not convinced it will be.

What I Think Will Be the Hardest Part
Doing the SEO analysis probably won't be difficult.
Getting someone who doesn't know me to actually trust me enough to pay $10?
That's the real experiment.
People receive sales messages every day.
Most get ignored.
Some probably won't even be opened.
So I’m interested to see whether a useful, low-cost offer can actually get through all that noise.
My prediction?
I think I can get at least one customer.
I'm less confident about getting two.
We'll find out.
