Why did you choose this place, person, or event, and what makes it special or important?

The main reason for choosing the Palli Mela located at the Town Hall of Rangpur District City is that it beautifully showcases the heritage, culture and lifestyle of rural Bengal. In the busy environment of the city, this fair creates the familiar atmosphere of rural Bengal, local products, handicrafts, food and entertainment opportunities. The most special aspect of the Palli Mela is that various elements of the folk culture of Bangladesh can be seen together here.

Various types of handicrafts, clay items, bamboo and rattan items, clothing, local food and various types of products are available at the fair. In addition, there are various entertainment facilities for children and family members. As a result, people of different ages can enjoy the fair with joy.

What interesting things did you observe or learn during your visit or experience?

During my visit to the rural fair, I observed and learned several interesting things. Especially at the fair, I got the opportunity to see various aspects of the traditional culture and lifestyle of rural Bengal very closely. Seeing local handicrafts, clay products, various bamboo and rattan items, clothing and various types of rural products at the fair, I realized that the craftsmen of our country still retain their traditional skills.

I was also attracted by people's interest in various types of local food and local products. I saw people of all ages - children, young and old - enjoying the fair with joy. This made me realize that a fair is not just a place for shopping or entertainment; it is also a means of social communication and sharing joy among people.

Can you share your personal experience and explain how this place, person, or event inspired or benefited you?

The experience of visiting the rural fair was enjoyable and educational for me. While visiting this fair organized at the Town Hall of Rangpur district city, I got the opportunity to see the heritage, local products and folk culture of rural Bengal from a close perspective. The lively atmosphere of the fair, the joy of the people and the various types of local products particularly attracted me.This fair has made me more interested in our own culture and heritage.

Especially by seeing the various products made by local artisans, I have gained a new understanding of their creativity and hard work. Besides, by taking pictures and observing different scenes at the fair, my photography and writing experience has also been enriched.

What message or lesson would you like viewers to take away from your video vlog?

The main message to the viewers through my video vlog is that it is our responsibility to love and preserve our native culture, rural heritage and folk way of life. The Rangpur Town Hall Palli Mela is not only a place of joy and entertainment, it is also a great opportunity to get acquainted with our traditional arts, crafts and native products. I want the viewers to appreciate the products made by local artisans and small entrepreneurs and to be encouraged to use native products.
