Halictid Bee on Wild Grass
Hello again! I was very excited to find this bee near my house. When I found, this so-called solitary bee was resting on the wild grass, not really taking a rest actually. I felt I was like an insect crasher where I often disturb their nap time. However, this kind of bee was hard to let go and I decided to disturb it with my smartphone camera. This was my second time finding this bee, and I was always excited to take bee shots.
This species is regarded as a solitary bee that used to be seen alone in the bush. I guess it was sent by its queen to spy the blossom in my neighborhood and decided to work alone. This bee has dark eyes with a yellow hairy neck and all over its back. I think this typical bee comes from the same species with sphecodes albilabris, an Asian version of solitary parasitic bee, so I might include it in the family of Halictidae, in the genus Sphecodes.
