Dear friends, I hope you are all doing well. Alhamdulillah, I am also doing very well. I am back with you once again, this time with a photography post. I would like to share some photographs of winter vegetables—specifically, photographs of broad beans (shim).

Winter seems to have arrived quite suddenly, and one of the favorite vegetables of this season is the broad bean (shim). It is a vegetable that is widely loved by almost everyone. As winter approaches, many farmers plant these bean vines in various parts of their land, ensuring they have a harvest ready to sell—and also to provide food for their own families—as soon as the season begins. These beans are truly delicious and are available exclusively during the winter months; there is a high demand for them among people.

In the rural setting, I came across some hyacinth bean (shim) plants. They were covered in a profusion of blossoms, and the beans had already begun to form; the plants looked truly wonderful, so I captured some beautiful images of them using my mobile phone camera. I must also mention how incredibly delicious these beans are! They can be prepared in a variety of ways—stir-fried, mashed (bhorta), cooked with chicken, or simmered in a curry with fish. Because of this versatility, they are a very popular food for people everywhere. The flowers are a stunning shade of blue. I managed to take some truly excellent photographs of them.

In this beautiful setting, wherever you look, you will see crops or various other types of plants growing. Living amidst such natural surroundings is truly enchanting—much like what I observed along the roadside, where I captured these images. I personally enjoy growing vegetables, as it allows me to obtain fresh, high-quality produce. It has been a pleasure to share this with you through this post. Please forgive me if there are any shortcomings or mistakes.
