My Therapist Asked Me Why My Hand Is Twitching (A Stippling Confession)
Hello Steemit fam!
Let’s talk about a little medical condition I like to call Stippling Delirium.
It starts innocently enough, you pick up a colored pen. You tell yourself, "I’m just going to place a few polite, civilized dots to add some shading." Three hours later, you are hunched over a piece of paper like a mad scientist, aggressively tapping ink onto a page, muttering about color gradients, and forgetting what the outside world looks like.
Why use smooth lines when you can individually place ten thousand microscopic colored dots to do the exact same job, but with ten times the emotional damage?

Seriously though, working with mixed colors in stippling is a trap. You think, "Oh, blending blue and yellow dots will create a nice green!" and then you end up cross-eyed, praying to the art gods that your hand doesn't slip and ruin a section you spent forty minutes dotting.
I’ve attached these finished chaos below, and my dear art lovers, if you stare at it long enough, you can actually hear the faint sound of my sanity slowly leaking out of the pen tip.
If you love this, you can send your favourite photos and I might do one, just for you, detailing the process!
Drop a comment, tell me how you like the colors, and please send coffee (or ice packs for my fingers). Peace, love, and endless dots! 😘
