Another Day of Applying, Learning and Building My Career and Business

Today has been one of those days where I'm reminded that building a career and business is a journey, not an overnight achievement.

I spent part of my day applying for jobs, looking through opportunities, preparing myself, and thinking seriously about the kind of career I want to build.

Sometimes, you send an application and hear nothing back.

Sometimes, you find a position that looks perfect, only to realize you're missing one or two requirements.

And sometimes, you start wondering:

When is my own opportunity going to come?

But I'm learning not to let those moments discourage me.

Every application is teaching me something.

Every rejection—or even silence—is helping me understand the job market better.

Every new skill I learn is another brick I'm adding to the career I'm trying to build.

I'm not just looking for a job.

I'm looking for growth.

I want to develop skills that can make me valuable.

I want to work with people I can learn from.

I want to become financially independent.

I want to discover what I'm capable of.

And I want to build something that I'm genuinely proud of.

As a young Nigerian trying to build a career, I know the journey won't always be easy. There will be competition, uncertainty, disappointments and days when motivation is low.

But I also believe that consistency can take you places that motivation cannot.

So today, I'm choosing to keep going.

I'll continue applying.

I'll continue learning.

I'll continue improving my CV and skills.

I'll continue exploring opportunities.

And I'll continue believing that the right opportunity can come when preparation meets opportunity.

Maybe I'm not where I want to be yet.

But I'm not where I used to be either.

And that's progress.

One day, I'll look back at these days and realize they were part of the story.

For now, it's another day of applying, learning, growing and building.

The career I'm praying for is the career I'm also preparing for.
