This is a very famous painting by Hieronymus Bosch "Death and the Miser"

This is a 15th century oil painting and shows a complete story about life, death, sin and salvation.

What is happening in the picture:

Bosch wants to show that when death is in front of us, man has 2 options:
Angel says: Look to God, repent
Satan says: Save money, do not give up the greed of the world

The miser is ignoring the angel and looking at the wealth. So in the end he will give up everything he has.

Mortal world and greedy man

In a village, there was a mansion that was famous for being haunted. Everyone who passed by it was afraid that the sound of coins clanging inside and human screams might also haunt them, so no one liked to pass by there. Irfan did not believe in all these things at all and considered this mansion to be similar to an ordinary mansion. One day, he and his friends wanted to bathe in the cold water of the canal and come to the front of the mansion. His friends refused to go there and tried to stop him from going there too. But Irfan was determined and despite everyone's stoppage, he went there and even made a bet before going there that there was nothing to be afraid of in the mansion.
When Irfan entered the large room of the mansion, the stench from there started to bother his mind, but he ignored it and moved forward. The bed in the room felt like it was a patient's bed and a box kept at the foot was covered with dust. Everything was covered with dust because it was dusk when Irfan reached here, so now the darkness of the night was increasing. His heart was a little scared because the mansion was completely dark and there was no sign of electricity. He walked to the middle of the room and the door closed automatically from behind. For a moment, Irfan's heart trembled, but he gathered courage and moved forward. Suddenly, he heard a whispering sound as if someone was in pain and saying, "Get me out of here." He moved towards the sound, and the sound was coming from inside the box. As soon as Irfan reached the box, the lid of the box opened automatically and the gold coins in it began to shine. Suddenly, the sound of sobs started coming from the box. It felt as if someone had grabbed his hand and pulled him into the box. Irfan tried to force himself to play, but the soul inside told him that I have been waiting for you for 30 years. Now that you have come, you will stay in the box and I will be freed from its imprisonment. Because I had avoided repentance out of greed for money, that is why I was imprisoned in this box with the money for 30 years. Now the shine and hardness of these coins have hollowed me out and I am anxious to be free from here. Now since you have also come here out of greed for money, that is why you stay with the money and I will live a free life. Irfan felt as if even his soul had become cold. All this was very unexpected and sudden for him. It felt as if many demons were present on the bed and they were stopping him out of greed for money. But since Irfan's heart was strong and he had come here in his own way, he forgot all his fears and anxieties and went to his room. He remembered God and convinced himself that money was just a worldly illusion, the real thing was the afterlife, which would be granted after death. Therefore, the person who repents and receives forgiveness from God is the one who succeeds. Irfan recited the Kalima loudly and began to seek forgiveness. As soon as he saw it, the stench from the room disappeared, and all the sobs and screams and the sounds of coins disappeared. Suddenly, it felt as if a powerful explosion had occurred.
Irfan quickly opened the door and ran outside. In a short time, the mansion was a pile of dust. Everything had burned down. That is, all the magic and harm that was present in that mansion burned down with the blessing of Allah's word.
