Hooray

The kitten, startled by the fallen pot, ran towards the pot rack and hid timidly beside a potted mint plant.

Although the kitten thought he was hiding well, Ray could see him clearly through the rack. Ray walked slowly towards the kitten so as not to scare him.

"Don't be scared," Ray said softly.

Just as Ray approached the kitten, the lady at the gate called out a greeting.

Ray gently picked up the tabby kitten and looked at the long-haired lady.

His mother had always warned him not to speak to strangers. Hesitantly, Ray replied, "Hi."

The long-haired lady stepped through the gate and looked around the garden.

"There you are, Biscuit!"

The kitten immediately perked up, leaped from Ray's hands, and ran towards her.

The lady called out, "Hooray, I found you!"

The kitten meowed softly at her as she carried him up tenderly.
