Life In Transit
Day in, day out,
Like robots, we do.
Repeating each day,
Like a machine, a system,
Executing codes.
Same actions,
Different faces,
Sometimes familiar.
Like clockwork,
We move.
To places we go and return,
Tapping in,
Tapping out,
Checking the clock,
As we go.
Gates open,
Gates close,
People arrive,
People leave,
Another day begins or ends.
As mundane as it sounds,
That is life, isn't it?
Life continues,
One step at a time,
One station at a time.
Counting on legs,
Counting on systems,
Counting on routines,
To take us somewhere,
To bring us back home.
If there is no system,
If there is no train,
If there is no life,
What do we have?
Nothing.
Or perhaps,
We would finally realize,
How much of life,
We took for granted,
Every day.
