Bacchus: Wine, Celebrating Life, Art

Contrary to what you might think, this young man celebrates life, is anything but overweight – unlike those who misused his name for their feasting parties.

When Jupiter’s lightning struck my mother, she died on the spot and I never heard her heartbeat again.
The reason I survived was because I have a positive outlook and stayed in Jupiter’s thigh until it was time to be born, and so, after a rough start, I learnt that you have to celebrate life for as long as you can. And this message was also written on the fortune biscuit served with the tea.

It’s not to say I’ll never be in a funk, but I know the art of savouring the finest wines.
A single sip is enough to give me a blissful buzz and restore my cheerfulness.

It’s true, I still miss my mom, but when I surround myself with music and dancing women during my festivities, I know she’s smiling down on me.

A good wine is never wasted on woman who has the heart to endure, unlike men who do nothing but complain bitterly and rarely wish to learn the art of growing grapes. Their taste buds and sense of smell are also less refined than those of the girls.

And even though the Church, and today the government, calls me the devil because it wants to banish every little pleasure, to this very day I live on in the hearts and finest arts while going by various names.
