My story today, September 16, 2026: It's a public holiday, so I took the kids to make merit and went to the beach.

Hello, my lovely friends.
Today is a public holiday, so the kids don't have school. Actually, we didn't make any plans last night... so there were no plans to go anywhere... I thought we'd just binge-watch some series tonight, hehe... But you know what? Anything can happen after my husband wakes up... The first question was, "Where do you want to go today?" Ugh, my series-watching ended the moment I heard that question, because the kids wanted to go out and play more than stay home... and the story continues...

Our usual restaurant near home

The kids quickly got up, showered, and got dressed. Soon, we left the house and headed to the restaurant... I chose dry noodles like my youngest daughter, while my eldest daughter had rice... and my husband had yellow noodle curry.

Going to pay respects at the shrine

After finishing our meal, we drove to another place, which took almost 30 minutes...a place by the sea. But before going there, we stopped at a shrine first. We went to pay our respects at the Jade Emperor Shrine, which is a newly built place and very beautiful. When we walked inside, we could feel the coolness of the place. After we finished, my husband lit incense and paid his respects, so then we walked outside.

In front, there is a beautifully shaped tree, also known as a bonsai. These are expensive ornamental trees, but they are also very pleasing to the eye. They look even more stunning when planted in an artistic pot. As bonsai trees grow, their price increases according to their size and beauty...

After finishing our prayers at the temple, we walked to the opposite side of the beach, which wasn't far. This place had souvenir shops and 5-6 tables set up outside under a large tree. The area next to it was set up for customers to sit and take photos in a well-decorated zone. They played 90s international music, both Chinese and English songs, while we enjoyed the sea view and the gentle breeze – it was truly relaxing.
Afterwards, we also had some Cheddar, a sweet dessert with ice as the main ingredient. It also comes with sweetened red beans, lod chong (a type of Thai dessert), coconut jelly, or some shops add sticky rice, corn kernels, and the syrup is made from cane sugar, giving it a fragrant sweetness. It was perfect to enjoy in this atmosphere.

After enjoying the nice atmosphere, the kids suggested we go to a DIY store, their next destination...hehe. They probably wanted a toy, but when we got there, there wasn't anything interesting, so they didn't buy anything. Except for a pack of tissues to keep with them when they travel. After that, it was time to go home. We were out for a while and arrived home around 4 pm, around 5 pm. We didn't cook today; we just bought nasi ramen and fried chicken. And that's our story.
