Venezuelans March and Celebrate at the Obelisk

in #celebration5 days ago

Yesterday, the obelisk was the meeting point for many Venezuelans to celebrate the events of January 3 in the early hours of the morning. This is not a political post, but rather a report on what happened yesterday after it was announced that the president of Venezuela had been removed from the country. After more than two decades, I think there were many of us who were waiting for this moment, and beyond any international political or economic intentions, it is a feeling that many of us share.

Over many years, the wave of migration had been increasing, and many of us had left the country in search of a dignified life, a better quality of life, and new and better opportunities.

What a powerful moment captured—seeing the Obelisk lit up with people’s hopeful faces really shows the resilience of Venezuelan spirits. How do you think this collective celebration will influence the next steps for those still planning to stay or leave? 🌟📸🙌
