Assalamu Alaikum, ¿cómo están todos? Yo estoy bien, Alhamdulillah. Hoy comparto con ustedes una publicación de fotografía. Aunque no siempre tengo la oportunidad de compartir fotos con frecuencia, trato de hacerlo de vez en cuando. Como pueden ver, las fotos que tomé hoy son de una verdura en particular.

Esta verdura se conoce como Kakrol (también llamada calabaza espinosa o teasle gourd). A muchas personas les gusta comerla, mientras que a otras no. Personalmente, me agrada mucho dependiendo de cómo se prepare; si bien un simple curry de verduras puede no resultar muy atractivo, su sabor es delicioso cuando se cocina con carne o se fríe. También se puede preparar como bhorta (un plato de verdura machacada). Lo ideal es consumir las verduras de diversas formas para aprovechar sus distintas propiedades nutricionales y disfrutar de la variedad de sabores que ofrecen.

Plantamos esta enredadera justo frente a nuestra casa y, como pueden ver, ha producido bastantes Kakrols que han alcanzado un gran tamaño. Su sabor es excelente. A veces crecen mucho, aunque en otras ocasiones el fruto se mantiene más pequeño.

Assalamu Alaikum, how is everyone? I am doing well, Alhamdulillah. Today, I am here with a photography post. Although I don't get the chance to share photos with you regularly, I try to share some from time to time. As you can see, the photos I’ve taken today are of a specific vegetable.

This vegetable is known as Kakrol (spiny gourd or teasle gourd). Many people enjoy eating it, while others do not. Personally, I really like it depending on how it is cooked; while a simple vegetable curry might not be very appealing, it tastes delicious when cooked with meat or fried. It can also be made into bhorta (mashed vegetable dish). It is best to consume a vegetable in various ways to benefit from its different nutritional properties and to enjoy the diverse flavors it offers.

We planted this vine in a spot right in front of our house, and as you can see, it has produced quite a few Kakrols that have grown to a large size. They taste excellent. Sometimes they grow very large, though at other times, the fruit remains smaller in size.
