My First Official Post in De SteemConnect: My Eye Checkup Visit & How the Rain Almost Ruined My Laundry Day
Hello everyone in De SteemConnect!
I am so happy to finally share my very first official post here in our community. As one of the founders and an admin of De SteemConnect, it feels really great to lead by example and start publishing content directly on our page.
Today was quite an eventful day for me, shaped mostly by health checkups and unpredictable weather. Here is how my day went!
For some time now, I have been dealing with some eye discomfort. Since there had been announcements regarding health services at the local health center, I decided today was the right day to go get my eyes examined.
The day started with very heavy rainfall, keeping me indoors all through the morning. Once the rain finally slowed down, I got dressed and headed out.

On my way to the health center, the roads were still damp, but the air felt fresh after the heavy downpour.
The health facility I visited is the Umuogele Ward Primary Health Centre (Aba South L.G.A.). It is a prominent public health center in our area, housed in a large compound surrounded by tall green walls and palm trees.

When I arrived, I took a picture outside near the fence and captured their official signboard. Inside, photo policies are quite strict, but I managed to take a couple of subtle shots of the waiting area and consultation room to share with you all. The medical staff were attentive, and I was glad I made out time to prioritize my health and get my eyes checked properly.
Returning Home & The Laundry Struggle
When I returned home from the health center, the weather seemed to clear up and the sun came out briefly. Seeing the sunshine, I decided to take advantage of it immediately and wash some of my dirty clothes.

I set up my basin, grabbed some detergent, and began washing. I managed to rinse everything and hung them on the drying line.
However, just as I was finishing up the last batch, dark clouds gathered again out of nowhere, and another heavy rain started! I had to hurry outside to pack all the damp clothes back inside before they got completely soaked.
They didn't get to dry properly under the sun, so I had to spread them indoors to air-dry.
As we continue to grow De SteemConnect, I want to encourage all our members and new subscribers to feel free to post your daily updates, Diary Games, stories, educational pieces, and thoughts right here in the community!
