Hello Everyone,

This post is going be a short review about Crime and Punishment novel.

About the novel:
Crime and Punishment is written by Fyodor Dostoevsky. It was published in the year 1866. The original language of the novel is Russian. The genre of the novel is: realist.

Review:
To start off, I would say that I am writing this review while I am about to finish the novel. Plus, I will try to not mention any spoilers. But, it is hard to achieve that with a review. Hence the name of the novel, the story is mainly about a crime and it's punishment. This is a philosophical novel, just like the other Dostoevsky novels. I think one the main ideas of the novel was that, is it necessary for the character to be evil, to end up doing something bad or a sin. There are a lot of conversations between the characters of the novel. If you like long dialogues between characters, this might be something worth considering.

Sort:

One of the first works by Fedor that I read, highly recommended for anyone who hasn't read it yet!

It is so good! But, I still see Brothers Karamazov on another level..

Yes, he really is a magnificent writer. I think I should reread both books. It's better to reread a good book than to suffer through a new one.

Well, you can always go back to parts of those novels. I agree with you regarding the author

I don't know, why I can't sit through it though.
Tried multiple times.

Well, it is not the same for everyone. I'm sure that it is down to personal preferences. You would certainly have a preference even if comes to literature you would read.

Hi,
Did you read the guidelines of this community?

It would be good if you use the right hashtags and add a bit of a personal "afterward". Was there something that hit you by surprise or....

Thanks.
Well, the review part is my personal take. But, it is a bit difficult to not have any spoilers when writing a review about a book. What do you think?

To be honest I don't mind spoilers, to me it only makes the story more interesting unless I think: this is not for me.
So if anyone tells me about a book or film it included the spoilers and if I watch it, I still see iny way. A great weekend.

To be honest, I feel the same sometimes. However, everyone of us see novels differently. I think that it is really hard for someone to ruin literature by covering the end of a novel. I still enjoy the progression of the novel and little conversations between characters.

That is good to hear and way better than a book that feels impossible to finish. I read a lot and only two books I couldn't finish and a few I skipped the most boring parts.

When it comes to non-fiction books, it is a good idea to skip parts that you are not interested in and going to forget about later anyway.
Thanks for the support..
