The Flood
He woke up and his eyes are half opened. The first thing he noticed was the window. It was not sunny outside! He thought that he was late. Before he realized that it is finally the weekend! A sudden relaxed feeling had hit him. He heard a noise. Something was not normal. He thought that it might have been the TV. But, he realized that it was not. The lights were off in the living room and everyone was in their room, sleeping. He noticed that the sound is coming from the outside. He went to the balcony to see it and it was not like anything that he has seen before. It was like as if nature was attacking their city. He saw a giant grey cloud covering the whole sky and a huge wave coming in. He went back in to wake everyone up. But, no one was up. So, he returned to the balcony. He stood in shock to see that it felt almost as if the water started eating buildings in a split of a second. The sound of thunder started hitting so hard. The sky started lighting everything up. The electricity was shut completely from the city and a huge that was taller than any building that he saw before was approaching! He saw the water level rising and the first floor of the building was completely covered! He went in each of their room, tried to wake them up again. But, it seems as his words had no voice! He went back to the balcony to see that it was time to leave the building. There was no time to get back, so he just yelled at everyone to come with him. He jumped before checking if they did. Soon, the water has covered the whole city. He looked in every angle to see that he was the only one who survived. He could not bear the thought of loneliness. He took a breath and dived backed to each one's room and tried to wake them up, until no breath was left.

A harrowing story, and the worst part is that it's happening in so many places. Will we need taller buildings, or will we need to start respecting nature? Because it seems to be taking its revenge.
Well, I think that nature is taking its normal course.. I don't think it's reacting to anything..

The sense of helplessness is so strong that the tension and adrenaline just flow without you even realizing it. In my humble opinion, you have a captivating style and a huge talent for building atmospheres. Best of luck in the contest
