We have reached the second edition of the literary challenge known as the "Poetic Exquisite Corpse," where—following the Surrealist approach—we will write loose verses that will eventually take the form of a poem.

***What will we do, and what do we propose you do?***

1.- We will present a few lines to start the poem and place the last word in parentheses to serve as a reference point for continuing the poem.

2.- A user can write as many verses as they like (minimum of three) and invite another user to continue the exercise.

3.- If a user has written verses and wishes to return to the activity to write more, they are free to do so.

ONLY REQUESTS

1.- Please write first in English and then in your native language.

2.- Try to be creative.

What do you gain by participating?

Weisser-rabe will distribute 500 SP for one month to those who join the challenge. Additionally, you may receive votes from curation teams.

We will start with these verses:

He paused at her naked eyes
and I felt suspended
in the labyrinth of my (solitude) <@acostacazorla>

Note: I asked @acostacazorla to write a few verses to kick off this second edition.

I invite: @lupega, @marcybetancourt, @dim753, @beckymia, @evagavilan, @wakeupkitty and @almaguer.

y yo me sentí suspendido

Invito a: @lupega, @marcybetancourt, @dim753, @beckymia, @evagavilan, @wakeupkitty y @almaguer.

Solitude, vast and cold, where her gaze still lingers,
I search for an exit that does not exist,
for her eyes became my only (home).

Home! Yet this was only mine and never his desire
As he much more liked fires burning
Whilst sitting in the wilderness
And dreaming dreams so heavily
Against the contemporaries

Thus her naked eyes so strictly chained his gaze
He wondered if she'd stay with him some weeks or days

He fast put out his brighting wildlife fire
From where I saw him soon returning
To grasp another mindset's bless
So full of eyes to see and (paths) to go

The paths were made of ants,
marching one after another,
carrying tree leaves on their backs,
to a primitive nest
dug deep within the (earth).

Los caminos eran de hormigas,
que iban una tras otra,
con hojas de árboles a cuestas,
hasta un nido primitivo
cavado en la profundidad de la (tierra).

I invite @aplausos, @casv, and @elpastor to share their verses with us.

Invito a @aplausos, @casv y @elpastor a regalarnos sus versos.

The earth was breathing beneath my feet,
and somewhere beneath the roots, a forgotten song was waking.
I followed its whisper until the night opened like a door,
and I found myself standing where the stars had fallen into the (river).

Ụwa nọ na-eku ume n’okpuru ụkwụ m,

E sooro m olu ya dị nro ruo mgbe abalị meghere dịka ọnụ ụzọ,

River ran quiet through the sleeping earth, Over stones that had forgotten the sun,

I dropped my solitude in it like a small leaf,

And watched it float away into the (night).

A night that reminds me of my solitude, sleeping beneath the earth,
waiting for the rain to fall to nourish the seed of my soul,
which eagerly awaits rebirth as a beautiful flower that will light up your eyes
and let you feel its fragrance like the hope of a new (dawn)

@mariami @blessedlife @wakeupkitty.pal @marito74

An endless dawn
shall my dreams not fade,
sustaining the fantasies
of a soul wandering in your gaze
Eternal existence
(adrift).

Existencia eterna,
sin rumbo.

Thank you.

I really like this kind of content. It is connected to the same idea behind the earlier one, but this version feels different in its own way. I love how you have presented it and how everyone can add their own imagination to the poem. It makes the whole thing interesting and unpredictable. Thank you for bringing this challenge back.

The idea is to write a poem every week. I think we can do it, because there is a lot of talent here. Thanks for joining.

Yes of course, I agree with that ma.
