At times I think of you
Every now and then
I want to know how you’re getting on.
Are you still alive?
Are you happy?
Or is there nothing left
Of dreams
Wishes
Hope
For a better life.
Dreams fade
A disappointing life
Work
Powerlessness
Survival.
The clock ticks slowly
Time passes
13 years, 15 years...
Not fast enough
To start afresh.
The memories remain
Love
I caress your face
Hand warmer
Soulmate
Sweetest smile
Drifting off to sleep.
Voices in my head
Cannot fill the void
Distorted faces
Nightmares galloping.
Fire melting everything...
Clocks, time
Except for the pain.
A lost home.
Mountains keep calling
The sea beckons and whispers,
“In the next life, we’ll be together.”
Without time
There is no past
No present
Only the future
We are together.

The separation of friends, family members, and partners always makes us wonder about their fate. We're not only curious about what became of them, but we also reminisce about the moments we shared. In this way, we imagine future encounters, which almost never happen in reality. I loved your poem.
Las separaciones de amigos, de familiares y de parejas siempre nos invitan a pensar sobre el destino de ellos. Y no solo nos intriga saber qué ha sido de su vida, sino que también recordamos los momentos compartidos con ellos. De esta manera, nos imaginamos futuros encuentros, los cuales casi nunca se dan en la realidad. Me encantó tu poema.
