DAY 12 - The Help of Man Is Useless

Man of us have learned that a promise from man can keep you waiting for months and still leave you empty.
In this edition of Edification Daily Devotional, there is the story of a young man whose uncle kept promising him a job. He put all his hope in that man and was dribbled for months. Nothing came out of it.

That is what our text says. Give us help from trouble for the help of man is useless (Psalm 108:12).
This does not mean God will not use people. He will still use people to help you. But your trust and hope must stay on God, not on who He will use. If your gaze shifts from God to man, God may allow you to be disappointed. (Isaiah 31:1).
Put your trust in God first. He will then allow the right people to help you and all the glory will go back to Him. 🙏
