Even before TM30 one had to tell the immigration where you live..
It's the same in nearly every country you live as an expat...

I'm ok with registering an address. Obviously this is something you need to do. People are not happy about the fact that they can not even go stay anywhere for more than a day without needing to notify the authorities. Of course this is relatively impossible to enforce. The only people I know that are affected by it are people that would never break the law anyway.
