The Diary Game: Harvesting Fresh Moringa Leaves And Preparing Them For Storage [31:07:2026]
Hello everyone, welcome to another episode of my diary session. I hope you're all doing well today and having a wonderful time. How was your day? I trust it was productive.
As for me, today was a simple but productive day. I decided to harvest some fresh moringa leaves from our farm and prepare them for long-term storage. I have always wanted to process moringa by myself so I could keep it fresh and use it whenever I need it.
I started by harvesting healthy moringa branches with plenty of fresh green leaves. I carefully selected the best leaves because the quality of the final powder depends on the freshness of the leaves. After harvesting, I took everything home to begin the next stage.
The next task was separating the leaves from the stems. Although it took some time, I enjoyed doing it because I knew the result would be worth the effort. Once I finished removing the leaves, I spread them neatly on a clean towel inside the house.
Instead of drying them under direct sunlight, I allowed them to dry indoors where there was enough ventilation. This method helps the leaves retain more of their natural green colour and preserves much of their nutritional value. I left them there until they became completely dry.
When the leaves were fully dried, I ground them into a fine powder. Seeing the fresh leaves transform into smooth green powder was satisfying because I knew I had successfully preserved them.
After grinding, I filled some empty capsules with the moringa powder while storing the remaining powder inside a clean glass jar. To help maintain its freshness and prevent moisture from affecting it, I placed everything inside the refrigerator.
Processing moringa at home gives me confidence because I know exactly how it was harvested, dried and prepared. It also saves money and allows me to have moringa available whenever I need it.
That was how I spent my day today. It was not a stressful day, but it was certainly a productive one. I am happy with the outcome and I look forward to preparing another batch in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to read my diary today. Have you ever processed moringa leaves into powder before? I would love to hear about your experience in the comment section.
