Hi everyone, welcome back to my diary, I want to share with you all what happened at my site, during the rains last night, the excavated earth collapsed back into the pit, taking and bringing the whole halfway done septic tank down, everything I’ve worked for, for the past 2 days went down the drain, it was truly a sad one for me, wasted energy, time, materials, labor cost and the cost of evacuation of the collapsed soil, it will have to be done.

When I get to site, I mobilized the boys and we went straight into work, we started with removing the dirt, debris, mortars and the pieces of blocks inside the pit, there was water in the pit also, after that I started laying the blocks from the beginning, the hardest part of today’s work is the harm I had to come into working with wet cement without proper PPE, with the pit flooded, I had to pump out the water and drain it but there was some left, I had to work with the remaining water still in the pit, which I know will make the cement to eat my flesh because it’s an inevitable situation when you handle wet cement.

After laying the blocks, I had to make sure the disaster doesn’t happen again, how I made sure of that was to make sure rain water does get into the pity or settle around to make the soil loose so it won’t collapse, I sat around waiting for the rains to fall to see if the plans had worked but the weather this evening was very clear, so there was no rains, I had no choice, I had to leave it that way after making sure it was all supported, lets it hope it works because that’s all I can do right now, I leave everything to God and hope for the best.

Later this evening, i stopped at the at the hardware store to buy some materials for a roofing project, which includes roofing sheets, boards, nails, woods and other accessories which took almost of my time, between negotiating, waiting for my transport guy to come to the market, then loading the goods from the wood market to site took the whole evening, at the end we succeeded, dropped everything off at site, secured them in the storage room, then we left the site at night time.

On my way home, I stopped at a restaurant to get dinner for myself and my dog rocky, I got home, rocky greeted me with loud barks, I’m very sure it’s not because he missed me, but because he saw packages of food with when I walked in, gave him his own portion of the food while I took mine upstairs, sat and followed up on my excel class youtube as I eat my food, I hope this is a great read for you, thank you for reading.
