The Diary Game: Ekpo Cultural Day And Working [17/09/2026]

Good day, guys and welcome to another episode of my diary session with yours truly, @megareigns and in today's episode, I want to briefly share with everyone how my day was and I hope this adds to you already beautiful day. Let's get to it.

When I woke up this morning, I stepped outside because I was hearing some noises from outside and then I saw that it was masquerade that they were following. They were also chanting the masquerade's song. I went and the masquerade saw me and then asked me to give him money. I told him I was going to snap with him first before I give him anything.

After I snapped with him, I told him to stay well as I will be snapping him personally. Honestly, seeing masquerade this year brings back memories of how we used to follow masquerade to a very long distance back then when I was still very young. During festive period especially Christmas time, masquerade will be parading everywhere and it was always so much but right now, Christmas doesn't even feel like it any longer.

What I sure know this year is that I am going to celebrate Christmas, I am going to make sure I enjoy this Christmas to the fullest because I have worked so hard this year and I will be enjoying every bit of the things I will find interesting. So, I went back inside just to go and cook.

I started cooking plantain porridge. I told you all that I am really enjoying every bit of this cold season. I know dry season is approaching and it's going to be hot. For now, let me this wonderful weather. After I finished cooking, I dished the food and put inside a tray then I began to eat it.

After I finished eating, I took my bath and then I took my laptop and began to work. It's crazy how I am trying to put some things in place and it feels somewhat heavy, I don't care about that anyways, all I want is just to keep pushing.

I worked till afternoon and it began to rain, I had to stop the work because network was getting bad. So many people have been complaining of this and I can't help than just to take my nap. It was going to be a very long nap but honestly, I had other things to do before nightfall, so I just slept for a very little time then I woke up.

When I woke up from bed, I was just scrolling through the net then I entered Temu app to see if I could see what to order for myself. I really need to gift myself because I have worked so hard and I deserve it. I saw this beautiful leather shoe and then I placed an order for it.

After I placed an order for it, I went back to my work. I had a little work to do so I did everything I was supposed to do and then I went to my Landlord's place to check up on what he was doing. He was attending to his grand kids. I sat down there to see what they were doing.

In the evening, I went out to go and stroll. I have been indoors for too long, so I needed to just go and see what the other side of the street is. This helped in reducing the stress. The road was so busy that I was asking myself where people were really headed to.

When I came back to the house, I took my bath and then I went to the kitchen, warmed the food and then I ate. I had a brief class with my students the came here to share my day. Till my next diary, guys, do well to take care of yourselves and stay safe out there. Much love from me to you all.
