Embracing the Era of Domestic Robots | A Necessity or a Trend?

I hope you’re all still enthusiastic about your daily activities and, of course, in good health. On this occasion, I’m going to take on a challenge from steemitblog. There are two questions there, one of which is about robots.

I will answer question number 2, which is:

If domestic robots become cheap enough, would you buy one for your home?
What would you want the robot to be able to do, and when do you think they will become widely available and affordable?

In my opinion, if domestic robots were ever sold at an affordable price, I would definitely buy one. Even if the price is still high, I’d still buy one if I could afford it and really needed it. Of course, I’d think it through carefully first.

As someone who spends almost every day in a rural area, the presence of this advanced technology would certainly bring a fresh perspective. Having a smart robot in the living room at home is certainly not just a symbol of ostentatious luxury, but rather a clear solution that can lighten the burden of daily household chores. After all, we know that daily chores require a great deal of energy and take up time amid our busy schedules.

We know that household robots of the future should clearly be able to handle various repetitive, routine tasks. These activities are certainly very tiring, especially when aiming for optimal results. There are several things I really want from a household robot, including excellent cleaning capabilities, small tasks like sweeping the floors at home or washing dishes, which, in essence, can be done automatically. Not only that, but with this robot, I want to lighten the workload in the kitchen. With the robot’s help, I can use that time to spend with my beloved family.

As time goes on, the development of robotics technology is certainly accelerating, and this includes AI, which is now remarkably fast and easily accessible worldwide. Based on analysis and observations of the ongoing popularity of innovations worldwide, which are constantly evolving and being upgraded, it’s likely that these fully autonomous, multifunctional, and affordably priced domestic robots will become widely available within the next five to ten years.

Looking ahead to this transition period, we can expect significant reductions in the production costs of advanced sensor components, optimization of global supply chains, and the increasingly widespread adoption of smart technology in households. From being merely a luxury item, rare and used only by certain groups, these advanced devices will gradually transition into conventional household appliances that are widely available and easily found in every modern home.
