Rescue - Ed Pet

Maybe you can help me; I want a bag, one of those handmade ones for my sister.

"We're out of bags," I said; "the only one left is the one I just made."
"I'll pay for it, I thought about making it myself, but my sewing machine is broken, and I don't have any suitable pieces of denim just a pant leg, and that’s such a hassle."

Since he also wanted a cap from the mannequin, I calculated a total of 10 euros; as there wasn't enough change, I told him he could pay later.

The older gentleman was wearing a beautiful, handmade leather cap adorned with a Harley-Davidson badge.

"Do you like caps?" he asked. "What colour do you like? Brown? Green? Try mine on." It looked great, but was too big.

Not long after, Ed Pet was back with... caps, and a red one ended up on my head.
"That one was made for you," he beamed. "What are you into?"
"Painting!"
"Then you should use a few paintbrushes to decorate it with to make it truly your own."

Of course, it didn't stop at just one cap. He had more of his creations in his bag, and I ended up with three caps that he wanted to give me as a gift.
"Women like them more than men do," he remarked.
I find that hard to believe. I’m certain that if fifteen or twenty people walked through town in a line, each wearing a different cap made by Ed, they’d sell out in no time.

Ed didn't want any money, but I paid him anyway and also transferred the amount due for the cap and bag to the shop.

"I love giving them away," he said, to which I remarked that his caps are leather and little works of art. Every cap is handmade and unique, so it is certainly worth a decent price.

Ed Pet doesn’t have a website; by his own admission, he belongs to the last century, the era when everyone witnessed the arrival of modern technology (computers, the internet, mobile phones, and much more) and became acutely aware of the dangers, such as "Big Brother" surveillance and the loss of privacy.

Ed came to my rescue, allowing me to head home with a warm head.
