Last night, after a refreshing spell of rain, the intense heat finally eased. The weather became much more pleasant, and a cool breeze continued to blow through the night. When I stepped outside for a while, I noticed that the road in our street was still covered with rainwater. The reflections of the streetlights on the wet road created a beautiful view. Rain always changes the atmosphere, making everything look fresh, clean, and peaceful. Even the air feels lighter, and people seem to enjoy the change after days of hot weather.
The next morning, I followed my usual routine and got ready for work. The weather remained comfortable, which made the journey much more enjoyable than on extremely hot days. While passing through the nearby road, I noticed a donkey cart parked on the roadside. A man was selling fresh lemons from the cart, and several people had gathered to buy them. During the summer season, lemons are in high demand because they are commonly used to prepare refreshing drinks and add flavor to meals.
Scenes like this are very common in our area. Many hardworking people earn their living by selling fruits, vegetables, and other daily items from donkey carts. They start their day early in the morning and work until evening, hoping to provide for their families. Their dedication and hard work deserve appreciation because they continue their work regardless of the weather or other challenges.
As I continued toward my workplace, I kept thinking about how a simple rainfall can completely transform the surroundings. The cooler weather, the fresh breeze, the wet streets, and the everyday activities of hardworking people created a calm and positive atmosphere. It was one of those ordinary yet memorable mornings that remind us to appreciate the small blessings of everyday life.
