The Diary Game – Wednesday, September 16, 2026: Teaching and Duty Coordinator

Hello, good afternoon and warm greetings to all my fellow Steemians. How are you all doing today? I hope you are all in good health and under the protection of Allah SWT, enabling you to carry out your daily activities smoothly. Alhamdulillah, I am back to share my daily activities on this wonderful day.

My routine this Wednesday the middle of the work week was relatively similar to previous days. It involved the kind of repetitive activities that almost everyone engages in, from waking up in the morning to going to sleep at night. On this fourth day of the Islamic week, I began my activities by waking up just before dawn, as the adhan (call to prayer) rang out from the loudspeakers of the Babul Huda Mosque. This mosque, a source of pride for the Panggoi community, is located quite close to our home. Consequently, I always wake up whenever the call to prayer signals the start of an obligatory (fardhu) prayer time, although there are rare occasions when, for some reason, I do not wake up right on time.

The adhan is a call for all Muslims, without exception, to immediately fulfill their obligation to perform the fardhu prayer. Upon waking, I immediately got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to freshen up. I also made sure to drink a glass of water to soothe my throat and gain its health benefits. Afterward, since I still had a little spare time, I performed the two-unit (rakaat) Sunnah prayer of dawn at home. When I heard the iqamah (the call signaling the start of the prayer), I stepped out and headed to the mosque to perform the congregational Subuh (dawn) prayer.

Upon arriving at the mosque, I immediately joined the other congregants, as the Subuh prayer had already commenced. After the prayer, I spent a brief moment in i'tikaf (spiritual retreat in the mosque) and engaged in dhikr (remembrance of Allah) to express gratitude for the opportunities and health that Allah SWT has granted me up to this very moment. Next, I left the mosque grounds to return home, incorporating some light exercise along the way. I simply walked a few hundred steps through the residential complex a simple activity that is easy to do at any time yet offers significant benefits for physical health.

A few minutes later, I went inside to rest briefly, lying down alongside little Raffa, who was still fast asleep. As the clock neared seven in the morning, I headed out from my beloved home to my workplace. I am unable to take little Raffa to school on Wednesdays because I have to get to my own school right away; in addition to teaching the first period after the bell rings, I also have the added responsibility of serving as the duty coordinator. I went to the school gate to welcome the students as they began to arrive. I carried out my teaching and duty responsibilities until the day's classes concluded. For the rest of the evening, I simply engaged in various routine activities at home.

That concludes my activities for today, and thank you always for the support of all my fellow Steemians, wherever you may be.

Regards,

The sense of serenity you described in starting your day with the Fajr call to prayer at Babul Huda Mosque is a wonderful way to begin the day. The routine you follow—spending some time in I'tikaf and Dhikr at the mosque after prayers, followed by a walk on your way back—seems incredibly beneficial for both physical and mental well-being. The habit of drinking a glass of water right after waking up is also excellent. Wednesday mornings are particularly hectic for you, as your role as duty coordinator requires you to arrive at school early. The situation where work pressures prevent you from dropping little Raffah off at school on this day is a scenario familiar to many working professionals. Yet, the responsibilities you shoulder—such as welcoming students at the gate alongside conducting your first-period class—are truly significant. May this beautiful balance between personal life, religious observance, and professional duties continue to flourish.
