Today, I decided to document another part of my journey since I started my new teaching job.
It is still a new experience for me, and I'm gradually getting familiar with the environment, the students, the responsibilities, and the daily routine.
Honestly, there is something special about starting a new chapter in life.
You don't always know exactly what lies ahead, but you keep moving anyway. โค๏ธ
๐ซ A New Environment
Starting a new job means entering a completely new environment.
New faces.
New responsibilities.
New routines.
New experiences.
And for me, this time, it is a school environment. ๐
As someone who studied Computer Science, becoming a teacher gives me another opportunity to share knowledge while also learning from the people around me.
๐๏ธ The Tools of the Trade
A teacher's little collection of essentials โ pens, papers and plenty of work ahead.** ๐๏ธ๐
The first picture I captured was this simple moment at my desk.
Just a few pens in my hand, but they represent a lot more than that.
The red pen for marking.
The blue pen for writing.
And the notebook waiting for another lesson to be written down.
Funny how such simple things can quickly become part of your daily routine. ๐
๐ Preparing for the Classroom
Getting my teaching materials ready and going through the day's academic work. **
Teaching comes with preparation.
Before standing in front of students, there are books to read, notes to prepare, topics to understand and materials to arrange.
I spent some time going through the available textbooks and learning materials.
I came across topics such as:
- ๐ป History of Computers
- ๐งฎ Early Calculating Devices
- ๐ Data and Information
- ๐ฅ๏ธ Types of Computers
- โจ๏ธ Input and Output Devices
Seeing these topics brought back memories of my own journey in Computer Science.
Now, instead of simply learning these concepts for myself, I have the opportunity to explain them to others.
And that's something I'm looking forward to.
๐ป When Computer Science Meets Teaching
Where technology, books and teaching meet โ my workspace for the day. **
There was a computer sitting quietly behind all the books and papers on the desk.
It almost felt like a reminder of where I came from.
Computer Science is my academic background, while teaching is becoming a new part of my professional journey.
I believe the combination can be useful.
Technology continues to play an important role in education, and I'm excited to help students understand the basics and develop an interest in computers.
๐ The Reality Behind the Classroom
Lesson materials, assignments and paperwork โ the work that happens behind every classroom. **
Sometimes people only see the teacher standing in front of the class.
They don't always see what happens behind the scenes.
There are papers to arrange.
Assignments to check.
Lessons to prepare.
Books to review.
And sometimes, plenty of writing. ๐
But I think that's part of what makes teaching meaningful.
Every piece of work is connected to someone's learning process.
๐ซ A Little Break
A small snack to recharge before getting back to work. ๐๐ซ**
Of course, nobody can work all day without taking a little break. ๐
I had a small snack during the day to keep the energy going.
Sometimes, it's the little things that make a busy day a little better.
Teacher needs fuel too! ๐
๐ Learning While Teaching
One thing I'm beginning to understand is that teaching isn't a one-way process.
While the students are learning from the teacher, the teacher is also learning.
You learn patience.
You learn better communication.
You learn how to explain difficult ideas in simple ways.
You learn that every student understands things differently.
And you learn to become better every day.
๐ฑ A New Journey
Starting this job has reminded me that life is made up of different seasons.
Some seasons are about learning.
Some are about preparation.
Some are about starting over.
And some are about finally putting what you've learned into practice.
Right now, I'm embracing this new season.
I'm learning.
I'm teaching.
I'm growing.
I'm building.

I don't expect to know everything from day one.
I'm simply looking forward to improving, gaining experience, connecting with the students and becoming a better teacher along the way.
