sakib store
Sakib Store is located at Phulerghat Market in the No. 8 Habra Union of the Upazila. It is the first fruit shop one sees upon entering Phulerghat Market, situated just 50 meters ahead of Chetana Bikash Kindergarten School. The shop is easily accessible from Choupati Market or Ambari, as transport vans are available right in front of it to travel to various locations. It remains open daily from morning until midnight.

This is a variety store where a wide range of items is available, including various fruits, vegetables, and household supplies. The selection spans everything from vegetables and jhal muri spices to diverse types of fruit; they also sell paan (betel leaf). I visited this shop with an older acquaintance from my neighborhood and bought and enjoyed some paan there. Notably, they have displayed the fruits prominently at the front to highlight them.

The fruits prominently displayed at the front of this shop include bananas, dragon fruit, oranges, and Malta oranges. These fruits are sold to local residents at prices aligned with those in local markets. When I took photos of them at the shop, they appeared fresh to me. However, as the demand for dragon fruit is currently quite low, the dragon fruits looked a bit unusual.

This shop also sells raisins—the kind typically served to guests visiting one's home; otherwise, such items are not commonly sold in our local area. The raisins here are stored in plastic containers; while plastic packaging can sometimes compromise quality, these particular ones remain in excellent condition. However, the quantity available was quite small. Among the fruits at this shop, I found the oranges to be the best.
vegetable
I saw several types of vegetables at this shop, notably potatoes, onions, garlic, and bitter gourd. They offered two varieties of chili peppers: fresh green chilies and dried red chilies. The vegetables sold here are fresh; the eggplants, in particular, look fresh just by their appearance. Since vegetables are widely cultivated in this locality, the shop is able to sell fresh produce consistently. Payments can be made here via both cash and mobile banking.
