The November contest #1 by sduttaskitchen: If you get a chance to rewrite something!
Life is not really easy at all, and many of us carries different stories that nobody even knows. Some days will be very sweet that we won't wish for it to pass, while some days will be very tough and we will feel like giving up in life. But one thing I learn is that every experience has something to teach us, even the painful ones.
What Would You Like to Rewrite, If You Get a Chance to Rewrite Anything in Your Life? |
|---|
The years I doubted myself taught me the value of believing in my own journey. |
|---|
However, I'll love to rewrite the years when I didn't really believe in myself. As a young person, I always felt that other people knows a lot better than me. I might idea, but I won't just say it out. I would love to start something, but fear wont let me to start. It was fear of failing, fear of people laughing at me, and fear of hearing people saying this to me, "What is this one thinking he's doing?"
Because of that, I missed many good opportunities. I can still remember one particular period when I wanted to learn a digital skill. I had my phone, I had a good internet, and I had the interest. But instead of starting, I kept telling myself, "I will start next week." Next week came and it turned to next month. Before I knew it, one year has pass. The painful part is that some people that started at that same time were already doing well for themselves. Some were earning money online, some were growing their knowledge, while I was still sitting down thinking and overthinking that I can't and won't be able to do it.
If I can go back, I would tell myself, "Guy, stop doubting yourself. Just start from where you are you can do it." I wouldn't have waited until everything is perfect before making a move. Because the truth is that, for this life, nothing would be ever perfect. If you keep waiting for the perfect time, you can wait till forever and it never comes. But at the same time, I don't really hate that part of my journey. The mistakes pain me, yes, but they taught me something very important. Today, I know that confidence is not something that you'll wait for. Confidence comes when you do well to take action, even when there's fear still inside your body.
Do You Believe in a Second Chance? Justify Your Views! |
|---|
A second chance can change everything, including our friends. |
|---|
Yes, I believe in second chances with my whole heart. In fact, if not for second chances, many of us won't be where we are today. Nobody gets a complete life on the first attempt. Firstly we are imperfect humans so we all make mistakes. Secondly we all have days when things scatter and don't go well. Then thirdly we all have decisions we wish that we could have handled better.
So for my own life, I have experienced failure before. There was a time I put effort into something and the outcome was not what I expected. I was really disappointed, and i felt like giving up. I even started questioning myself. But after some time, I gathered my strength and tried again. The second time was different because I was wiser. Also I understood my mistakes. I knew what to do and what not to do. And because of that experience, I really got a much better result. That was when I truly understood that failure is not always the end of the road. Sometimes, it is a lesson which life wanted to teach you before opening another door for you.
Waking up every morning and being alive is a second chance. And every new day is another opportunity to correct our yesterday's mistakes. While setback is a chance for us to stand up again and continue or start afresh. Of course, second chance doesn't mean that the person should continue repeating the same mistake. It means that the person will be learning, growing, and doing better than before. That is why I always try not to judge people too quickly. Sometimes people just need another opportunity for them to become the better versions of themselves.
Live Life King Size! How Do You Define the Term? |
|---|
Peace of mind is my own definition of living king size. |
|---|
Well the first time someone says this to me "live life king size" what enters my mind was money, expensive cars, big houses, designer clothes, and a very flashy lifestyle. But honestly, that is not my own definition now. For me, living life king size means having peace of mind. Why I said so is because, there's nothing a person will gain if money full everywhere but sleep don't come at night.
Living life king size means waking up every day with hope in your heart, and enjoying the little things which many people overlook. It also means eating with gratitude even if the food is not too much for us. Nowadays, many people are good in rushing. Everybody wants to become famous and rich overnight. Everybody wants to prove something. But life is not supposed to be competition.
Honestly, f your progress slow but steady, just try to appreciate it. If you never reach where you wanted to reach, keep moving because you will definitely reach there. Therefore with my own experience I can conclude that if you can just sleep peacefully, and also smile genuinely, then help people when you can, and still have hope for tomorrow, you are already living richer than many people think. At the end of it, live life king size is not about showing people what I have. It is about genuinely enjoying the life God has given to me, and growing through every season, and being thankful for every small win along my journey.
