It's Throwback Time! – Childhood Memories Winners Announcement

Hope you all are well. First of all, I want to thank all my friends who participated in my first contest "It's Throwback Time! – Childhood Memories Contest" and shared their beautiful childhood memories with us.

The purpose of this contest was not only to write about your favorite childhood sports, but also to reminisce about the little joys, mischiefs, and times spent with friends and siblings associated with those sports. Childhood is indeed a special part of life. At that time, we probably don't realize that ordinary games and small events will one day become such precious memories.

I really enjoyed reading the writings of all the participants. Everyone described their childhood memories in their own way. Now I want to share with you the names of my selected participants and the reasons for their selection.

In your writing, you mentioned many childhood sports including ludo, stoop, skipping rope and badminton. But what particularly caught the eye, was the memory of playing Dots and Boxes with her younger sister. You mentioned that you both used to play dot on paper and you often beat your sister. You also beautifully stated that with the passage of time everyone has become busy with their own lives, but some games still bring back nostalgic memories. You have described the memories of playing cricket with friends in the street very well. Building a wicket with three bricks, an old bat repaired with tape and all friends playing with the same bat, these details make your writing closer to reality. Especially playing ten more overs in the name of one over and reading friends arguing about out or not out brings a smile. You also mentioned that over time the friends moved to different cities and it was no longer possible to play together like before. Your writing has a beautiful glimpse of friendship, childhood joys and the past.
