My Journal of 10th August | Plant your own garden!

Dear Diary,
I hope this entry finds you well. Today, I return to share insights regarding my day and reflections on various thoughts.
I have come to understand that waiting for others to bring joy or appreciation is not productive;
Rather, one ought to cultivate their own happiness.
Engaging the mind actively serves as an effective strategy to minimise tension and avoid unnecessary expectations, as these often lead to distress and negativity. When individuals minimise external communication and instead engage in self-reflection, they can significantly reduce conflict.
Moreover, I contend that maintaining an active mind is far more beneficial than succumbing to time-wasting activities that contribute little to creative development.

Frequently, when individuals engage in idleness, excessive reliance on mobile devices becomes a predominant part of their daily lives.
We are granted 24 hours each day, and every moment holds value; in the blink of an eye, those moments can disappear forever.
Therefore, it is more advantageous to focus on personal growth and development rather than awaiting external validation. What are your thoughts on this perspective?
Today, I began my day, as usual, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to witness another sunrise—a new day to live and appreciate the blessings provided by the Almighty. I refreshed myself with herbal water and subsequently enjoyed green tea.

Last night, I prepared kidney beans for a traditional dish known as Rajma, which is popular in Punjab, India. Although I did not document the preparation process visually, I did photograph the final presentation of the dish.

Despite the current rainy season, today's weather has been unseasonably warm. Living on the top floor, I experienced considerable discomfort while cooking.
As I prepared the kidney beans in a pressure cooker, I also placed an online order for several items, and being the 10th of the month, I fulfilled my obligation by paying my rent.
Upon completing the preparation of Rajma,
I made chilla for my lunch. I concluded my kitchen tasks by 2 PM. Following this, I took a shower, as today marks the last Monday of the Bengali month of Shravana. I ordered milk in observance of my rituals.

After my shower, I combined the milk with holy Ganges water and poured it over the shivling. I am selective about the practices I engage in, ensuring they align with my personal beliefs.

Observing the evening sky, I noted the birds returning to their nests in unison. Similarly, I observed ants undertaking a collective journey.

In contrast, it appears that humans often isolate themselves in their pursuits, sometimes only
engaging with others when there is potential gain. This behaviour leads to a lack of adherence to the natural disciplines that animals and nature exemplify.
I still have professional tasks that require completion this evening,
after which another day will pass in my life. Therefore, I believe it is paramount to prioritise personal happiness rather than relying on others for it.
I welcome your thoughts on this matter.
