San Vicente Ferrer is located in the Eastern subregion of Antioquia. To get there from Medellín, it is a drive of approximately 51 kilometers (31 miles) taking the Medellín-Bogotá Highway. The driving time is around 1 hour and 10 minutes, depending on the traffic when leaving the city.
Antioquia es mágica" (Antioquia is magical) is the first thing you read on the post. But as my cousin Adriana rightly says: more than magical, it is wonderful and ideal for us locals, and foreigners simply love it. With the town in the background guarding the path, this spot is a mandatory stop to recharge with good energy and choose your direction.
We started making our way down toward the heart of the town, stopping to take in how beautiful nature and architecture blend together.
In the distance, we can see the Church of Our Lady of Chiquinquirá, an iconic representation of the essence and tradition of San Vicente Ferrer.
