My new addiction

Have you been in that position where you find something that you would term your new addiction?

Well, I know most people use addiction in a negative sense but permit me to describe this simple and delicious recipe I just discovered as my new found addiction.

I haven’t really been a fan of Okoro soup though I tend to enjoy it once in a while which isn’t bad at all whenever I do but that only when I am the one that cooked it myself.

I do not like eating Oko soup outside or draw soup which we generally call ogbono soup over here . Because of its drawing nature, I do not feel comfortable when I am not the one that Cooked it at home.

So I easily pass on that but I can eat vegetables soup outside and Egusi is mostly a no no cos people do not even know how to cook it well. It always have this sour taste after all.

As someone who prefer to cook my food, there are a lot I do not sync with when it comes to eating out but that’s not what I am here to rant about.

So one of the days when I didn’t have enough money, I decided to cook this small succinct Okra soup. I bought okra 500 Naira, Pomo 400, crayfish, oil, uziza leaves and Panla fish 1000 Naira to make this straight to the point soup.

I spent about 3000 Naira on the whole for the ingredients. Bits here, bits there. What if I told you that that seemingly management soup had since become my new found addiction.😁

It came out so well that since then, I have always resorted to it. Even when I have money, the idea has not left me. I made it again and again and at every point it still drives home that feeling of satisfaction and simplicity.

My friend eats it with me all the time and at every point, she keeps saying ohhh this is soo good. And I’m like you can say that again.

My supposed management okra soup has become my new found addition. I have prepared it again 😂 and I so enjoyed it.

This reminds me that life can be simple and one can find satisfaction in the simplest things of life.
