LETS TALK ABOUT FRUITS TODAY

WHY ARE FRUITS IMPORTANT?

Fruits are packed with important nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, fibre and antioxidants. These nutrients support different functions in the body and contribute to overall health.
For example, citrus fruits such as oranges are well known for their vitamin C content, while bananas provide potassium and can make a convenient snack when you need something quick.
Fruits also contain fibre, which supports healthy digestion. This is one reason why including a variety of fruits in our meals can be a good habit.

COLOUR YOUR PLATE

One thing I love about fruits is how colourful they can make a meal or snack.
We have red fruits like strawberries and watermelon, yellow ones like bananas and pineapples, orange fruits like oranges and pawpaw, and green ones like apples and avocado.
And beyond making our plates beautiful, eating different varieties helps us get different nutrients. So instead of always reaching for the same fruit, why not explore?

FRUIT OR FRUIT JUICE?

Now here's where I want to hear from you.
Would you rather eat your fruit whole or turn it into juice?
Personally, there is something satisfying about biting into a fresh, juicy fruit instead of drinking it. But I understand the appeal of a cold glass of fruit juice too.
The important thing is remembering that whole fruits generally provide fibre that may be reduced when fruit is processed into juice, especially when the juice is strained.
So, the next time you're choosing a snack, don't overlook that colourful fruit sitting quietly in the kitchen.
