The Diary Game: [15/08/2026] Cooking, designs and feeding the birds.

Today, i was woken up by my father's voice, he came to remind me that i promised to take care of my mother's poultry farm until she returns from her travel. immediately after prayers, i rushed downstairs to feed the birds. Having to feed chickens very early in the morning can be quite exhausting. However, on the bright side these chickens looked bigger than they were yesterday. or maybe it was just my eyes! i washed their drinker, poured in clean water (There's this saying that chickens should only be given water clean enough for human consumption too) and proceeded to put in the crushed multivitamins as recommended by the veterinary. The next thing i did was to give them their feeds. As a part time poultry farmer who has not gotten used to seeing the chickens jump up and down. feeding the birds can be hard for me because they are always excited to see their food, this often results to series of jumping and pecking with their peaks. On the bright side, i read somewhere that only a healthy bird would be happy to see food. i am honestly happy that they are healthy, maybe i will eventually get used to the jumping.

The next thing i did today was to eat food. i ate quite late because i am trying to control my weight. Meanwhile i have always been curious. How exactly do weights work? imagine being visibly slim but the scale either keeps saying the same thing? or sometimes it even says that you increased! i am genuinely curious. For my first meal of the day, i had beans from the previous day and pap. i remembered to take a picture when i was almost done with the food!

The next thing i did today was to make changes to a particular design i made a long time ago. i stared at the design and wondered why i did not get any engagement on it. The design was actually intended to be a homepage for a burger website. but, i got the least engagement from it.

Later in the evening, i fed the chickens again. But, this time around i noticed something weird about the older set of birds in the farm. When I poured in their feeds, and water in their drinkers i was ignored by these birds. i left them and went to crush the tablets for the younger sets. that was when i noticed something, I saw one of the birds going towards where the other birds were. immediately the birds followed it and they began to eat! it got me wondering, Maybe these birds can communicate with themselves!! i couldn't get a better picture because opening the door to take a picture might distract them.
