Tyron Woodley kind of continues to embarrass himself, this time in wrestling

Tyron Woodley wasn't an exciting UFC champion, but he was a UFC champion. Then as is often the case he got beat, then got beat again, then got cut completely and ever since then he has been chasing money until it runs out including fighting Jake Paul twice for I have to imagine was pretty good money.

I don't remember exactly how it all started to go downhill for the guy but when he took the belt from Robbie Lawler in 2016, that was a very big deal.

It might have been his showdown with Kamaru Usman that rattled him, because he never won a UFC fight after that, he quickly became the roadbump for anyone that UFC wanted to push because it definitely wasn't him. Once he lost to relative nobody Vicente Luque by first round submission, UFC had seen enough and let him go.

We all kind of know what happened next with him getting embarrassed both in the ring and outside of it by Jake Paul. All that time he was talking the big talk but he went down like a clown once they were in the ring. I kind of suspected that Paul was paying him off and we'll never know if that was the case or not. But when the news came out that Tyron Woodley had lost at freestyle wrestling in the first round to Khamzat Chimaev my first reaction was "those guys wrestle?" Followed by "what the hell is RAF wrestling?"

It wasn't even close and dare i say, it appeared as though Woodley wasn't really even trying. Maybe he is just that outclassed when it comes to any form of MMA or even just wrestling. When he was UFC champion, it was absolutely necessary to be a jack of all trades but these days, he looks like he isn't even that anymore.

I had to look it up but in any form of combat sport, Tyron Woodey has only won a SINGLE TIME since 2018. This is in boxing, MMA, wrestling, probably some other stuff mixed in there.

The question for me is, why is this guy still a name that people want on the card and has Tyron just kind of accepted his role as a jobber with a big name? A jobber is a guy who always loses to push someone else and this is most used in fake sports like WWE.

It is estimated that his net worth is around $4 million, which is more than I have and probably more than you have, but we didn't have a televised fighting career that spans 15 years either.

I hope that Tyron is investing his money wisely, because to me and many others (probably most others) his name is mud and doesn't really mean anything anymore.
