MIF Photo Contest — The Devil's Eye

If you've watched the horror movie, the devil's eye, you'll see that the line in between the cat's pupil is the same as that of the the dividing line in the devil's eye as portrayed in that movie. I've never really observed the face of a cat because I don't like cats. But something got my interest when I observed this cat from a distance. Its behaviour was quite a different from the generalized view of cats in my country.

So this is a Portrait view of the cat's face and you may be wondering if the cat literally posed for the camera. It didn't. I had to use my zoom lens to capture it in portrait mode . The details and everything in the picture really portrays a moment in focus because only a static camera can bring out this focus without dents. Let's talk about how I photographed it.

My phone has this pixel in it's camera that loads anytime I a picture is taken and once it loads, it automatically edit the picture, balancing all aspects in terms of lighting, sharpness and contrast, especially when the sun is shinning. I took couple of pictures of the cat's posture before actually capturing it, laying its head on the broom. Check the comment section to see evidence that I'm the one who owns this picture

After editing all these columns, it brought out the result you're seeing there. What's the difference from the original picture? The clarity makes it possible for you to see all the details in the cat's face. You can even count its hairs 😁. The eyes are visible, same with its whiskers. Take a look at the background, you'll see that there are dark shadows clouding the sides of the picture and bringing the cat's face as the main focus. This is where vignette comes in my edit.

This is a cat in her glory. There are other details in the picture, but the moment in focus in this picture is the cat. She's finding solitude in the comfort of the broom she's resting her head on, unaware that someone is taking pictures of her.
