Mustang
Mustang is a beautiful mountainous district in Nepal, famous for its stunning landscapes, ancient monasteries, caves, and rich Tibetan-influenced culture. It is located in the north-central part of Nepal and is known as one of the most fascinating destinations in the Himalayas.
Mustang is divided into Upper Mustang and Lower Mustang. Upper Mustang is especially famous for its dry, desert-like landscape, ancient villages, and traditional Buddhist culture. Muktinath, Kagbeni, Jomsom, Marpha, and Lo Manthang are some of the most popular places to visit.
The Kali Gandaki River flows through Mustang, and the region is surrounded by spectacular Himalayan mountains. Muktinath is an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists.
Mustang is also well known for apples, apple products, local foods, and beautiful trekking routes. Its unique combination of natural beauty, history, culture, and mountains makes Mustang one of Nepal’s most attractive tourist destinations.
