The Diary Game, 27 Oct 2026 : Running around all day to solve laptop problems
My day began on a rather hectic and stressful note because, quite unexpectedly, my laptop refused to turn on.
I had shut it down properly the previous night, but when I tried to power it on the next morning, it wouldn't respond at all—the display remained completely dark.
I initially suspected the display might have failed, as that had happened once before and required a replacement. However, after several attempts to turn it on, the display suddenly flickered to life—only to shut down again just as quickly.
That made it clear that the display wasn't the issue; something else was wrong. I tried various troubleshooting steps—plugging and unplugging the charger, checking if the battery had drained—but nothing worked. Eventually, I headed to a service center.
I visited a mobile repair shop where the technician claimed to handle laptop repairs as well. He tried everything I had already attempted and even tried reseating the RAM, but to no avail. So, I decided to head toward the town of Feni.
There, I took it to an experienced laptop technician. After examining the device, he identified the problem: a faulty IC (integrated circuit) that needed to be replaced.
I left the laptop with him for the repair, though I made sure to remove my SSD first. After some time, he managed to fix it. By the time I headed home with the repaired laptop, it was already evening—I had spent the entire day dealing with this issue.
On my way back, I stopped by a local stall where they were selling a variety of pithas (traditional cakes/dumplings). I picked out some of my favorites, enjoyed them along with some bhorta (spicy mashed side dishes), and I brought it home, and I’m sharing this post with you all today.
