One skill everyone should have

Good evening fellow steemians. Greetings from the @thealicee and trust y'all had a good day. I do not know if I'm the only one who kind of thinks that social media is one of the places people might likely see you as a snub even when they haven't met you in person. I am referring to people who sends you a message but you do not have the time to reply and stay on the conversation and even if you do, you lack the zeal to stay consistent on the conversation due to the way it's going.

Today, I decided I was going to reply to messages on one of my socials as I haven't been really active there and honestly, that still brought me to the point where communication should be one of the skills people really need to work on.

Engaging people on socials made me realize that many people lack basic communication skill, especially when reaching out to someone for the first time. The funny thing is, it doesn't have to be about big grammar but simple, basic things you have known about the person over time before messaging them. one of the easiest way to have smooth a conversation with someone you're reaching out to for the first time is knowing basic things about them overtime before sliding their dm as I see it as a way of keeping who you're communicating with curious to how you have a little idea about them and it's usually really beautiful.

God's beautiful creation

Your first message to someone is your first impression and it's a sad thing to know people are ruining the opportunities they could get at meeting and connecting with people who genuinely wants to communicate with them.

We may know about this already, but let me also stress it again. The basic things I do when communicating with people for the first time is starting with a greeting and not just ending it there and expecting a response but moving on to introducing myself and stating the purpose of the message because I see it as very wrong to message someone without stating the purpose of the message.

This should give you a good start when trying to engage someone in a conversation. Communication is, and still remains, one of the most important skills everyone should work on having.

I hope I was able to communicate something to you. Thanks for reading.
