Our Chorale Group Presentation
Hello, this is our chorale group that is best with using native instruments to sing and bless souls.
So we were invited to present a song titled “Ami nyekom Obong Abasi mi” translated “I will thank you to God” . This song is trending in Akwa Ibom State and is sung in Efik-Ibibio tribes, cool and blissful.
The invitation came at a time many of us were not close and our leader had to travel from Abuja to Uyo while the presentation was in three (3) days, and we tried coordinating ourselves until the actual day.
The solution is that now that all of us are here, we needed to rehearse before we were called to sing. The rehearsal itself was so powerful that I was interested in the song, and I had to take the video.
I played one of the instruments. We have obodom, xylophone, gong, ntokrok, nsak, ibid, and others. We played and combined them together to harmonize the music.
This is a group that I joined recently due to the love I have for it. Singing native songs, folks, songs, and hymns in a way that even the old people can express joy because they can hear the song.
These instruments are made by our leader. He has the creative power to design whatever he wants. He told me that he spent not less than two (2) months to make the xylophone and have the correct solfa notation.
We play in the church and are also available in any kind of functions and entertainment. What we do not compromise is religiosity. We are not secular entertainers, we sing purely gospel songs.
A few months ago, we performed at the state level, and even inter-state. Currently we have an event booked for 29 November 2026 in which we will perform in a music concert that will touch lives in the city of Use Offot, Uyo. Will you book us? We are pocket friendly.
