Steemit Challenge Season 34 - Week 5: Question 1

I have a lot that I am saving money for. I am currently saving for a house, a car, and a new laptop, which has affected my online activities. Right now, I would say that I am saving money to buy a new laptop that I can use for content creation, online activities, research, and schoolwork.

I recently paused my savings for a car and house to save for a brand-new laptop because getting a brand-new laptop would enable me to earn a good amount of money that I can save for a car and a house. My work as a blogger on Steemit and content creator with other online activities that I do, requires a good device for writing, trading, video editing, editing pictures, learning new skills, and managing my Steemit activities.

I am saving money to buy a good laptop that will cost me around ₦700,000 ($520) - ₦1,000,000 ($730). I don't want my budget to exceed this amount that I want to save because there are other items that I have paused savings for so I could save and buy a brand new laptop.

For now, I am gradually saving from my income from trading and what I earn on Steemit until I have gotten the money to buy a brand new laptop. Initially, I plan on saving around ₦60,000 ($45) - ₦80,000 ($60) every month, which could take me a year or more to reach my target. I had to say a year or more because sometimes I do touch the money I am saving to buy a new laptop when things are hard for me.

It has never been easy to save money for something in Nigeria with the present economic which most of the time I end up using the money I have been saving for feeding and solving other financial issues. To make things easier for me, I have learned how to live within my means and reduce all unnecessary spending.

Once my savings are almost complete, I will compare prices of laptops from reputable computer shops around and online stores like Jumia before buying. Of course, I wouldn't forget to check the laptop's specifications, customer reviews, condition, and warranty of the laptop to ensure that I am getting good value for my hard-earned money and not just a laptop that I would end up regretting.

Yes, I checked with ChatGPT last month to compare options and understand the laptop specifications that would give me the best value for my budget and the best place where I can buy such a laptop. I also use ChatGPT to compare prices and to learn how I should use the laptop so that it will last longer for me.
