I have selected this question by @stef1 for this contest : You need to make Surprise Breakfast for your

Question Source by @stef1

Breakfast is the first meal we enjoy in the morning, I prepare them at times while my wife is not well or still asleep. If I decide to surprise her with a ready breakfast, I put in extra effort to make the moment truly memorable and full of love even if I do it at the risk of listening her taunting words..

what is your best choice of breakfast

My best choice for breakfast is a stuffed paratha (stuffed Bread). I love how a hot potato, paneer, or cauliflower parantha feels both tasty, healthy and satisfying, especially with curd, pickle, or a little butter.

Made with whole wheat flour and a filling of her choice which is culliflower gives us all we need such as fibre, carbohydrates, and full of energy to start our day.

I enjoy cooking them even if my wife is dead against my entering the kitchen for two reasons, one- she considers kitchen belongs to her and second she feels I spoil her her arrangements in the kitchen.

However, I change the stuffing according to my mood and her choice of course using less oil or ghee but I never forget to use butter separately. For me, a stuffed paratha is not just food but it is a delicious beginning to the morning for both of us.

do you like breakfast served to bed or at the table

As you can see in the picture, we like our breakfast served at the table because it makes the meal feel special especially sitting together, We enjoy hot stuffed parathas with curd, pickle, and tea. The aroma, and conversation make mornings comforting. For me, breakfast should be hearty and at the table because it's the first food of the day.

is there something special for breakfast that is only typical for your country and traditions

Yes, parathas are special for breakfast and are preferred in our country’s food traditions especially in North India. Although they are especially popular in India and Pakistan, people across South Asia and in countries where South Asians live also enjoy them. For us Indians, it represents family, culture, and the joy of sharing a traditional breakfast together.

make a picture of such surprise breakfast

See I am not in a position to cook right now due to my sickness but, I have cooked them from time to time so I will give you a few pictures from my album for your ready reference and promise to cook for you if ever meet anywhere in the world and the ingredients are available (in case it happens anywhere else than India).

By the way, I can make a couple of other dishes like Pizza, Dosa, idly, biryani and other stuff but the paratha is our best choice.

I invite @stef1 @suboohi and @kouba01 to give me a chance to serve them with my cooking expertise.

Hi dear friend @dove11, I really enjoyed to find a lot of new things both from the tradition of your traditional breakfast but also the personal preference.

I was always fascinated by the cuisine of different countries, I love and also ready to try many of them, especailly when we are travelling, I definitely will try traditional food.

I find the photos that you made are very helpful to understand what and how the food is looking like.

I love whole-wheat flatbread, of course, what I tried was sold in supermarket and definitely not fresh made, but still I enjoyed it. I can only imagine how it is taste when it is freshly made.

It was sweet to hear that you love to make surprise for your wife, paneer, or cauliflower parantha sound very healthy and I also agree with you the best such breakfast is at the table, I actually would be able to spend maybe an hour just chatting and enjoying my breakfast.

Thank you for sharing your family breakfast tradition, it made me hungry even reading your post :)

Thank you so much for your beautiful feed back. Let me tell you that if you buy frozen bread from supermarkets you can get Indian stuffed paratha and breads online at -https://veenas.com/collections/rotis
