Steem and Hive — This Week’s Market History and My Thoughts
The crypto market always brings some kind of drama every week, but this week I paid special attention to two coins: STEEM and HIVE. These are not just trading coins. They are connected with blogging platforms and online communities. People who post on Steemit or Hive usually keep checking their prices every day because their earnings are linked to them.
Looking at Binance and other market data this week, STEEM showed a lot of movement. At the beginning of the week, its price was around $0.051. Then it slowly moved up near $0.057 before falling back again. Right now, it is trading close to $0.054. The market looked unstable, but there was still decent trading activity around the coin.
HIVE also had a similar week. It started around $0.067 and later dropped near $0.059 because of overall market pressure. Trading volume on Binance and other exchanges also showed that many traders were still actively watching HIVE. Even though the market was not fully bullish, both coins stayed active instead of becoming completely silent.
Personally, I find one thing very interesting. Whenever Bitcoin makes even a small move, smaller coins like STEEM and HIVE react much more strongly. Maybe it happens because their market size is smaller, so even a little buying pressure can create a noticeable jump in price.
During the last few days, I also noticed more activity returning to the Steemit community. Some old users have started posting again, and discussions about STEEM and HIVE appeared on crypto forums and Reddit communities. Many people are again talking about platforms where content creators can earn through writing instead of depending only on advertisements or sponsors.
There was a time when everyone talked only about Bitcoin and Ethereum. But now many content creators are looking toward community-based platforms where they can write, interact, and still earn something. That is probably one of the biggest reasons why STEEM and HIVE are still surviving even after thousands of new coins entered the market.
If we talk about the future, both coins still look risky but interesting at the same time. Their value does not depend only on trading. It also depends on how active their communities remain. If posting activity grows, new users join, and creators stay consistent, these coins could still make strong moves again.
For me, the summary of this week is simple: the market still looks confused, but both STEEM and HIVE are alive and moving. In the crypto world, surviving for this long is already a big achievement.
Congratulations!
