Sonargaon is one of the most historically important places in Bangladesh. It was once a major political, cultural, and trading centre of ancient Bengal.
During the medieval period, Sonargaon became an important centre of the Bengal Sultanate. It was also famous for its trade and the finest Muslin cloth produced in Bengal.
Today, Sonargaon is a beautiful destination where history and nature come together. The historic buildings, traditional architecture, green surroundings, and peaceful atmosphere make it a wonderful place to visit.
